Mike Lane is a life-long resident of Louisiana who graduated law school shortly before Hurricane Katrina struck the Louisiana coast on August 29, 2005. After returning from evacuation, he spent the early part of his career at a regional law firm defending domestic and international insurance carriers against hundreds of property damage claims, learning first-hand how insurers deny policyholders what they are owed.

Over the past decade, Mike expanded his practice to represent general contractors and subcontractors in complex construction disputes, including in the tragic Hard Rock Hotel collapse. Mike has tried numerous cases in state and federal court as well as before arbitration panels, and has presented dozens of seminars for clients and industry groups. Mike has also written articles for the American Bar Association, Engineering News-Record Magazine, and New Orleans Bar Association, among other publications.
